Starting this Summer 2021 intake, undergraduate and graduate students will be able to enrol in a Pre-Sessional English (PSE) program through the DePaul University Global Gateway Program (GGP). The PSE helps students improve their English language skills before they begin their GGP courses.
In the PSE, all students will study at DePaul’s English Language Academy and will take 18 hours of English classes per week, building skills in grammar, reading, vocabulary, speaking and listening, and writing. PSE students will be part of the DePaul community from the start of the program, with
- 1:1 support for academic, social, and emotional growth
- Involvement opportunities to help build friendships
- Cultural activities to learn more about the U.S. and share their own cultural heritage
- Career preparation resources
- Access to Chicago, where they’ll be part of a diverse community in and outside of DePaul
